Set in one of the New York Restoration Project’s beautiful community parks, this unique outdoor performance pairs the dancers of the LEIMAY Ensemble with kinetic sculptures that respond to both movements and the environment. A mesmerizing interplay between nature, the human body, and man-made structures which reveals the physics of causality and metaphoric potential for interconnectivity.
Bodies on the Brink is presented by the New York Restoration Project in partnership with LEIMAY. LEIMAY works are supported in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
