Shinichi Iova-Koga’s LUDUS Lab, Sharpening the Water Body, prepares a supple and dynamic body through the development of soft tissues and flexibility and through the use of Qi Gong and Noguchi Taiso.This Lab aims to Integrate the inside/outside, left/right, head/toe, visceral/refined and image/sensate.

Embrace and play within the chaotic stream of the subconscious; Cultivate pattern recognition, the ability to develop what you recognize, and the skill of instant Change; Enjoy the not knowing; Trust that your body, from subtle awareness to expansive expression, will know what to do.

Shinichi Iova-Koga has been teaching body mechanics and composition in workshops and Universities since 1994. He is the Artistic Director of the physical theater and dance company inkBoat, founded by Shinichi in 1998. The recipient of 5 “Izzie” awards, inkBoat has toured in North America, Europe, South Korea and Japan, often collaborating with local artists in museums, theaters, studios and site-specific locations. His mentors include Yumiko Yoshioka, Ko Murobushi, Anna Halprin, Ruth Zaporah, and Ralph Lemon. Shinichi is a certified teacher of Action Theater and Wudang West Qi Gong.
